I arrived in Hattiesburg, Mississippi yesterday missing one important component… my luggage. It was decided by airport personal that my luggage along with the rest of the plane’s passenger’s luggage would not be brought along on our flight. So, I spent yesterday in jeans and a two shirts in 95 degree heat and just about 100% humidity… not my idea of comfort, but I lived long enough to make it to today when my luggage arrived.

I am here in Hattiesburg to help “coach” at the Gold Medal swim camp with friends Dave Kelsheimer and Neil Walker. It has been a great experience so far and has been a lot of fun… spent the last two days working with about 50 swimmers on technique. Last night Neil and I gave about an hour’s worth of motivational talks, and tonight we just returned home from a spirited bowling match (just call me “the dude“). This morning I swam with the kids for about an hour… my first real practice in almost 12 months… it was painful. We have a few more days to go, then it is golf, a crawfish boil, and a day out in the gulf deep sea fishing. Should be fun…
