Just Dad and His Girl

Colleen left town yesterday morning, meaning I was beginning my weekend of being Mr. Mom. That sure is excitement for me. Being able to spend some quality time, just me and the girl. Yesterday though Avery took three naps and by the time she got home for the evening with me, she was just exhausted. So, after some playing, dinner, a walk, and some more playing Avery was ready to hit the hay early… That left me all alone to just hang around, watch television, and surf the web. Sure that sounds exciting, but excitement is getting time to spend with my baby.

Well, no fear, here I am hanging out with Avery at 6am… Once again, Avery decided that 5:45am was a wonderful time to be awake… I disagree, but hey, my vote does not ever seem to count.

Came by to read a bit, and had to chuckle at all the early morning wakeups! Those dratted birds have started singing between 3:30 and 4am at our house, and without white noise of some sort, the kids wake up with the birds. With the white noise, they still wake up obscenely early- 5:45 or 6am is the norm around here. UGH. I’m a night-owl kind of gal, so this phase of early childhood sucks.
