I took Avery for a haircut this morning. Her first. It was SO MUCH FUN. My little girl is so grown up!

I chose to take her to Shear Madness because I knew that she would squirm through the whole thing – which she did by the way. I wanted someone who was used to working with wriggly kids and was quick enough that Avery wouldn’t lose patience (or an eye or an ear). What a trip it was…

When we arrived, the stylist took us to the “First Cut Corner” where she got to sit in a bright red fire truck. The steering wheel proved much more interesting than her toys, so she was doing just fine as we got her seated and strapped in. With a Disney movie started and her hair slightly wet, the work began.

Fast forward 3 minutes and we were done. This gal was quick! And even though Scott thinks Avery looks like a bit of a tomboy, I think that she looks super cute. The 80′s punk rocker, scraggly ‘do just was not cutting it any more. I like the clean-cut look that she is now sporting. Too bad, though, that we will still have to use barettes to keep the hair out of her eyes. Such is life.

Unfortunately, we do not have photos.
