Colleen and I took Avery swimming on Saturday morning.  It was quite an experience.  I am pretty sure that Avery was quite confused by the chlorine small and the vast size of the "giant bathtub" when we entered the building.  She was very alert and stayed snuggled into whomever was holding her at the time.

As I went to get into my bathing suit (sorry, no first time photos – I am a little camera shy in a bathing suit – just call me a little self conscious), Colleen put "Little Swimmers" onto Avery.

As I took Avery and we made our way into the water, it dawned on me that she was going to quite possibly freeze to death.  All her life she spent in 100 degree water and we were getting into 80 degree water – even I was cold.  So, as I got used to the temperature, Colleen held Avery.  When I was ready, I took Avery and moved to deeper water.

Stay tuned for the rest of the story.
