Britney Spears, Child Endangerment, and the End of Bad Music

What I saw this morning shocked and scared me. I have feared this for some time, but was in dismay when it finally appeared on the Today Show this morning.

What is it that bothers me so? That fact that Britney Spears is getting some unwanted attention spanning from the photos that appeared of her driving a car with her child in her lap.

Now, what bothers me with this scandal is not what you may think. Of course I have a number of choice words for her stupidity, but that is not my biggest issue.

My biggest problem with her driving her car with her child in her lap was "why is her nanny allowing Britney to spend time with her baby?" Any nanny with at least one brain cell should know that this is a bad idea. Doesn’t she know that if Britney is locked up for child endangerment that there will be no more of Britney’s Oops, I Did It Again’s and no Greatest Hits. Oh wait, that might be a good thing.

having spent 8 years raising the children of a high profile person who had zero natural instinct as a mother, i do have to say that about once a month, my boss did want to spend a few minutes with one of her kids. And I let her. And yes- things happend. Some people just were not meant to be mothers! But Britney is always with her child and has a good heart, ease up on her!
