Avery went for her six month checkup today. Only 3 shots this time around, and Colleen says she is a trooper (she was certainly happy when I got home tonight). Her percentile in weight dropped to around the 80th, her head is in the 85th percentile, and (go figure) her height is off the chart as she is 28 inches long.
Our doctor gave the go ahead to start level 2 foods, but Colleen and I find eating ham and apples out of a jar to be a little strange. The recommendation was to give Avery a full jar of food (we were giving her half of a smaller jar), plus the cereal. We thought that there was no way Avery was going to eat it, but surprise she loved it – including the pureed meat. She downed the entire over-flowing bowl of food – neither of us knew we were raising such a hungry child.
I guess, if you feed it – she will eat it.
