Colleen and I got out for New Years – baby free. We spent the night at a Westin, had hibatchi and sushi for dinner, and then had brunch this morning, all while leaving Avery with the Grandparents here in New Jersey. While we did not stay awake for the ball to drop, the New Year still arrived as expected.

We wish you all a wonderful New Year. We have loads planned (ok, so not really), but do watch for childhood photos of me (if you like a good laugh or know me and want a trip down memory lane) – we found a bunch at my sisters that I will share over the next few weeks (see back to this story, plus it provides some insight into the reasons Avery looks the way she does. Oh, we will not leave out Colleen, but she was a cuter baby, and you wouldn’t laugh as hard at her photos.
