I finished my shopping, but I think that I know why I procrastinated. Subconciously I knew that the moment I finished my shopping, I would have to wrap the gifts. Let me tell you … it is not pretty. I am currently halfway through the gifts. one gift wrapped here, a glass of wine there, a blog post here … not really focused on this wrapping thing.

If you were to see my pile of wrapped gifts when I am done, you would quickly understand why. The family can instantly know who gave them the gift just from the wrapping job. I have thought about taking up those folks who will wrap your gifts in the mall, but then what is the fun in that.

My wrapping is my signature – my calling card per se. I was once shamed by it, (marrying into a family of the most prolific wrappers of this era does not help) but the embarrassment has passed and I have learned to use it to my advantage … what that advantage is? I will let you know when I figure it out …

Just remember – bow? I don’t need no stinkin’ bow.
