Avery had her 2 month pediatrician visit today. Accompanied my mom and Grandma Marsha (Jersey Marsha, not Topeka Marsha), we learned that she is doing everything she should be, and then some. In 2 months, Avery has gained 3 pounds and grown 3 inches – 12 1/2 pounds and 23 inches. Dr. Bush was very impressed at Avery’s motor skills – noting that she seems more like a 4 month old. Our little over-achiever. Look out for her to creep, roll over, and (eek!) maybe crawl in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately, the 2 month check-up also includes 3 shots. Poor baby. She screamed through them, but was rewarded with Barbie band-aids. Maybe some day she will care about those. Somehow, mom avoided crying herself. We have spent the remainder of the day with a VERY sleepy baby. Luckily, Grandpa Lester makes a good pillow.
