I love to travel and considering I have done just that exclusively for the previous five years of my life, I would think that it would be easy. It did not start off well, as I found myself running through the parking lot to my flight about 20 minutes before it left. It has been better from then on, as you will read further along, but this travelling can have its drawbacks. With the number one being that I do not see Colleen and Avery for extended periods of time. It truly changes your outlook on being away from home. Do not get me wrong. I love the travel…I love to see new places, but I can only think about what I was missing at home and how much better the travel would be if they were with me.

Now you ask, where am I now? I am currently in Monterey Bay, California and it is beautiful here. It is actually unseasonably cool for this time of year, but I am loving the weather. Plus, this city is great. You get the ocean view without the typical California congestion. This evening we took a trip along 17 mile drive, which is a scenic route around the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Country Club, and The Links at Spanish Bay (basically for you non-golf afficianatos, three of the worlds greatest golf courses) mixed amongst some of the most amazing homes right along Spanish Bay and the Pacific. Unfortunately, I have now learned not to forget the camera at home as I did miss some great views, but lesson learned and I will have the camera with me next time.
