Avery had her first doctor appointment this morning. She is doing great – as expected – and got a few oohs and ahs from strangers. Nothing like that to stroke mom and dad’s egos.

We are happy to report that she is gaining weight like she should be and is very healthy. The doctor was very impressed with how strong she is. While laying on her tummy, she lifts her head with a push-up-like motion and is already trying to pull her legs up under her like she will when she crawls. He thinks she may crawl early – our little over achiever. I think she has daddy’s athletic ability.

We also learned that she likes to look at herself in the mirror. But really, can you blame her?
