We are now here in Israel, arriving at around 7:45pm Tel Aviv time. The 10 hour flight was not really too bad. Stepping off the plane was surreal. I had been told (warned maybe) that I would be the center of attention for the U.S.A. delegation, but I was not truly prepared. I was bombarded by media the minute I stepped off the plane. Two television interviews, introductions to important people, and the like.
Even while trying to catch up with the team and not miss the bus I was interviewed while walking. This is going to be fun – being popular is all it is cracked up to be … so far.

Our arrival to the hotel for our Pre-Camp was neat. The were tables set up and food being served. It was just one big party. See the first photos from the Maccabiah 2005 here.
